The Enhanced Conceal Carry Class, as mandated by the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, includes 8 hours of classroom training and practical shooting exercises. Upon successful completion, attendees will receive the certificate required for the "IC" endorsement on their Mississippi state-issued firearms permit. The registration fee includes all classroom materials.
The course covers gun safety, pistol types, gun laws, and holster options. This class is intended for individuals with prior handgun knowledge and experience who wish to carry or frequently handle a firearm for self-defense. Novice or inexperienced shooters are encouraged to take First Shots, Basic Handgun, or schedule a private lesson before registering for the Enhanced Conceal Carry Class.
If you are unable to spend 8 hours in a classroom, then the two-night course is for you.
*For this class to proceed, a minimum of four registrations is required. We appreciate your interest and encourage you to invite others to join to ensure the class can run as scheduled. Thank you for your understanding.

The course is designed to give you:
- A clear understanding of gun safety
- The fundamentals of holding, loading and using your weapon
- The knowledge of how to be aware of your surroundings in order to avoid conflict
- The insight on how to prepare yourself mentally to survive a hostile encounter
- The understanding of where you can and cannot carry your gun in and outside of Mississippi
You will receive:
- A certificate that allows you to apply for the state of Mississippi enhanced permit through the MS Department of Public Safety.

- Targets
- Eye and ear protection
- Indoor shooting range to qualify
- Virtual Simulator training designed for home invasion (if time permits)
- Two Day class (Snacks and drinks)
- One Day Class (Catered lunch and drinks)
What to bring:
- Closed-toed shoes
- Long or short-sleeved shirt (crew neck if t-shirt) when on the shooting range
- Driver License
- The gun you will prefer to carry with 50 to 100 rounds of ammo
- Guns available to rent for $15
- Ammo can be purchased on site
