Course Information

Kids Gun Safety Class

This 1½ hour class is for kids (8 to 15 years old) to increase their knowledge of different types of guns and ammunition shotguns and how to safely recognize and approach interactions with these weapons.

We will include visual aids, videos, and fun class activities to provide a solid foundation for a safe and proper response to firearms with family and in public. Our goal is to impress upon safe procedures for all situations and safety rules related to weapons.

Parents are encouraged to stay with the kids during class at no charge.

The course is designed to give you:

  • Rules of properly handling a firearm
  • Accident Prevention
  • Marksmanship & accuracy
  • Proper stance, grip and how to use the sights

What is provided:

  • Rubber pistols
  • .22 pistol and rifle with ammunition
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Targets

What to bring:

  • Closed-toe shoes
  • Long or short sleeve shirt (crew neck if t-shirt)
